These are some sayings I remember hearing as a kid. They have always stuck with me, especially when I think about gossip and the way our words can affect other people. I have shared these sayings with my own kids, hoping they would remember them when they are tempted to talk about someone who isn't there to defend themselves. There is a lot of wisdom in these simple reminders. “Truth” is rarely complicated and seldom verbose. Sometimes the best lessons are the ones we can say in just a few words.
